Dear Residents and Taxpayers of Elm Ridge and Paloma Creek,

As you may know, there will be a May 2024 election held in Elm Ridge and Paloma Creek for voter approval of a fire plan and fire services contract with the Town of Little Elm, in place of the current fire services contract with the City of Aubrey. Recently, there have been postings across multiple social media platforms by the Aubrey Professional Firefighter’s Association and the Aubrey Fire Chief, Eric Schlotter, on his personal Facebook page, containing allegations and statements relating to the May election. Not only do these statements lack detailed information and/or background information and context, but some are also a misrepresentation of the facts. As a matter of professional courtesy, the Paloma Creek and Elm Ridge Water Districts have purposely refrained from going public with the reasons for the decision to enter into a contract with Little Elm for fire protection services. However, due to the inaccurate allegations and statements from the Aubrey Professional Firefighter’s Association, Elm Ridge and Paloma Creek must take action to stop the spread of misinformation.

Using the link provided below, you may find and review a list of statements made by the Aubrey PFA followed by the corresponding factual details and chain of events. As forementioned, these responses serve to provide clarity for the District's residents. However, if anyone has further questions please feel free to submit a Contact Us form to your respective District. Thank you.
